LRS Cases Updated Online by Attorneys

  1. An attorney updates a case online in their portal.
  2. Staff gets an email alerting that a case has been updated and the email provides information such as case number, Case status, fees collected by attorney, and if applicable case reported closed by attorney, etc.
  3. Staff can then go to the case itself using the case ID number to see what’s been done or go to the report: Reports/LRS/LRS Cases Updates Online by Attorneys
  4. In the report you will see by date range which cases have been updated and to quickly see what was done you can click Date updated.
    If the attorney has reported that the case should be closed it will have a red icon in Status column.
  5. A case is not Officially Closed at this point until staff checks the case and closes it themselves.
The attorney in only letting you know it’s closed at their end. But you may not want to close it until you have received all payments due you from the attorney.

IMPORTANT: Until this step is done by staff the case will still show up in open case reports and in the attorneys open case list.

6. After staff has Closed a case, it will be removed from the LRS Cases Updated Online by Attorneys Report.
