Frequently Asked Questions
What do we use for email if a member does not have one or won't provide it?
If a member will not provide an email address:
Usually they have one, but don't want to receive emails from organizations. The ITOD unique log in user name is a persons email address. The best approach is to explain this and let them know that they can choose to not receive blast emails inside their user profile. But you should also explain that using this method means they will not receive email confirmations when they sign up for events, etc.
If they still won't give you one:
@noitodmail.com is registered to us so should an email accidentally go out to this person it will not be tagged as spam. Also by using the ITOD member number you wont accidentally duplicate an email.
If they still won't give you one:
Assign them an email and temporary password and let them know what it is. They can then log in and change their password.
Always use this format: BarITOD number@noitodmail.com [Sample: Marin121213@noitodmail.com]
