The email address already exists


Most likely they are a Registered Non-member.

  1. Check under "Non-Members", which are "Registered" non-members. This allows them limited log in rights so they can register for an events
  2. Click on the Registered Non-Member name
  3. Click Convert t to a Bar Member
  4. You may now enter all the new members information



If not a Registered Non-Member:

  1. Go to Member list
  2. in Search, type in the email address, the system will find a person by email address.
  3. If the address is found but associated with a different member, you will need to research further to determine, which is correct, the current member or the new one. Or;
  4. They might be in same firm and trying to share an email (such as to a mutual assistant) which is not allowed in the system. Each must have a unique email address.


To search for any or all emails use the "Email Search" report under "Reports - Custom"

Valid Search Formats:

1. Search by First Name or partial
2. Search by Last Name or partial
3. Search by Module under a certain field or all Fields
4. Search by Domain extension ( @gmail.com ) will result in anyone with a gmail account
5. Search by Firm email address ( @IntelLinx.com ) will result in anyone with an IntelLinx.com email account
