PCI - Credit Card Compliance
How do I know if I am PCI compliant
With the constant threat of security breaches looming over your business, it is more critical now than ever to secure your payment processes and protect your customer account data. Starting is easy, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Council developed a set of 12 comprehensive requirements called the PCI Data Security Standard or PCI DSS. All merchants must meet the set PCI DSS requirements to be in full compliance with their Merchant Services Agreement.
All Merchants must be PCI DSS compliant by July 30th, 2010.
Your Merchant account holder is your contact for PCI compliance, not your Payment Gateway, ( Authorize.net or PayPal Pro)
The scans are performed by merchant account providers (Authorize.net or PayPal Pro are only the gateway).
If you use one of our partners such as Authorize.net and you also use CyberSource) for the merchant account, your CyberSource underwriter would scan.
If they use an outside provider, that provider scans for PCI.
