Committee Membership and Settings


Associations deal with Committees in different ways. We offer support for both methods

1. Some Associations place Members on Committees by request/ invite only.
2. Some allow Members to self join committees.

Method 1:

When a person requests to join a Committee online, they are not automatically placed on the committee.
They are listed under the Committee Requests found under the left hand column of the main screen screen/menu.

Staff periodically checks this list and then determines whether or not to add a Member to the requested committee.

To add someone to a Committee

  • Go to Committees (right above Committee Requests)
  • Choose the Committee and click on it
  • If the person is not already on the committee, click Add New Member; click All or search by name
  • Click the right hand box next to persons name and then Add Selected Members up by the search box
  • You will be automatically be put back on that Committees Membership page and the person(s) is listed as a member
  • The Positions column is where you can change someone to Chair, Vice-Chair, etc.
  • The Period column is where you can put in a term, if the committee has three year terms for instance and people might be on different end dates.
  • To take someone off the Committee click the Remove icon in right column. The history will still show that this person was a member in the past.
  • You can send an email directly to the single person by clicking the email address
  • Get to the persons profile pages by clicking their name
  • To send an email to all members in a committee use the eBroadcast tool

Members have the option to request committee membership during the renewal or join process.
A Committee liaison can be add / configured in the program setup inside the Admin Settings

Method 2:
Members can self join Committees.

In this scenario the Members can self join a committee.

Both Options must be configured correctly first by the System Administrator [Admin Setting]
